History

Original novel

Jubelian was an outcast of noble society where she received no attention from her father Regis Adri Floyen, nor those her age until she met Mikhail Albert Hessen. She quickly fell for him after he gave her his handkerchief when she was crying at a party. She finally got the attention she was seeking and decided to devote her life to him, much to his irritation. This was all until he confessed to her that he never loved her and loved the royal princess Beatrice Evelyn Ashet instead, which destroyed their three-year relationship.

Later, Jubelian gave the princess some wine at a banquet which turned out to be poisoned. Mikhail blamed Jubelian, although, in reality, she had nothing to do with the poisoning. Jubelian was ordered to be taken away, and her father volunteered to bring her to the shadow room where no one can leave once they enter unless they are of the royal family. As they arrived, her father gave her a dagger and told her to 'tolerate it'. Believing that the Crown Prince had arrived to torture her so to prevent such a thing she used the dagger to stab herself, choosing death over a miserable life imprisoned and that was how the original Jubelian died.

Past

As a young child, Amelia Norah Floyen died and Jubelian was left with her father Regis Adri Floyen as her only family, but he never gave her affection or love and frequently pushed her away. She grew up lonely and longing for some form of affection but was poor at socializing and making friends. She took her frustration out onto other women and exploited them to keep them away from Mikhail Albert Hessen, her boyfriend, who was the only one to give her the attention she craved.

Past life

A typical woman who was just looking for a good job. She had many skills like programming and baking, but she hadn't managed to get a full-time job. She often dreamed of escaping her current life and reincarnating into a book, but never as the villainess. One day, on her way to a part-time job, she got hit by a car and died. This caused her to transmigrate into the book that she was reading about the tragic life of a noblewoman.

Synopsis

By the time Jubelian realized she was reincarnated in a novel, she was already two years into her relationship with Mikhail Albert Hessen as well as already established herself as a disreputable villainess in society. Armed with newfound knowledge of the future, Jubelian planned to thwart her grim fate by breaking off her engagement to Mikhail.

After patiently waiting three hours, Mikhail finally arrived to speak with Jubelian, barely hiding his annoyance at her disturbance. Jubelian wasted no time in stating her intention to end their engagement. At first, Mikhail believes that she is just acting out in frustration, but Jubelian insists that she is serious and does not love him anymore. Still not convinced of her actions, Mikhail lashed out at Jubelian to never show her face to him again. Jubelian only smiles at Mikhail and apologized for her actions. As Jubelian took her leave, she expressed her wish for Mikhail to be happy.

Jubelian returned home to the Floyen Manor relieved that she had averted her death. She then crossed paths with her father Regis Adri Floyen as she forced a smile while engaging in awkward small talk. Regis inquired as to why Jubelian was home so early. Jubel reveals she had ended her relationship with Mikhail because she did not want to be with a man who did not love her. The normally stoic duke was surprised by her actions, which Jubelian believes is because of his desire for a successor.

Later that night, while she waited on her maid Merilynn to help with her bath, Jubelian began crying just as Merilynn arrived. Merilynn’s sudden appearance surprised Jubelian who was embarrassed at being seen crying. She quickly told Merilynn that she would take a bath the next day. Despite her concerns for her lady, Merilynn accepted Jubel’s request and bid her goodnight. Wanting to improve her relationship with the staff, Jubelian thanked her maid causing Merilynn to tear up before leaving.

Outing at Arcade Street

The next morning, Merilynn came to Jubelian’s room to inform her that her father Regis Adri Floyen requested to have dinner together. During an awkward breakfast together, Regis inquires about who Jubel’s ideal partner would be. Believing he is trying to find a new successor, Jubel first responds that she would like to marry someone stronger than her father. Seeing that her father was skeptical of her answer, she changed her answer, claiming she will not marry someone unless they are a noble of high status with honor and family. Regis then sporadically decided to take an outing with Jubel to the market.

During their outing, Regis had his guards purchase anything Jubel looked at. As the two continued their walk, Jubel noticed a swordswoman approach her father. Regis asked her to stay put while he spoke with the woman. Now by herself, Jubelian could hear the whispers of the people who recognized her. Jubelian then entered the nearest store to not stand out, but did not realize that she had stepped into an Armor’s shop; The Howling Bear.

While the store clerk welcomed her with enthusiasm, a young man named Maximilian Kasin Ashet approached the counter wanting to purchase a can of armor polish. Jubelian was captivated by the man’s handsome face before he told her to get lost for staring at him. Put off by his rude behavior, she attempted to get back at him by purchasing the item he was going to buy, claiming it was what she was looking for, not realizing it was armor polish. Embarrassed yet again at her impulsive action, Jubelian attempted to keep face by claiming it was to keep her accessories in better condition. The store clerk claimed that one wouldn’t be enough if she planned to use it and quickly ran to his storage to find more for her. Having no time to waste, Max left after purchasing his can but was stopped by Jubel as he overpaid for his can, telling him he should be more careful with his spending. They were soon interrupted by the clerk who gave her all the armor polish in his stock. Jubelian at first tried to reject the items but was overwhelmed by the clerk’s insistence, not realizing Max had already left.

Jubelian returned to her father defeated with a bag of armor polish. Noticing how tired Jubel had gotten from walking around, Regis ordered everyone to return to the manor. Exhausted from walking, Jubelian nearly tripped down the stairs before she was caught by her father. Regis then picked up Jubelian and proceeded to carry Jubel to their carriage to take them home, startling and embarrassing his daughter even more as she insisted on walking on her own. Jubelian then suddenly collapsed in her father’s arms as he began to panic.

For three days, Jubelian was unconscious and lying in her bed, unaware that her father was by her side the whole time though she could seemingly hear his voice as he pleaded for her to wake up. After regaining consciousness, Jubelian was surprised at being surrounded by her maids and Doctor Allen who informed her of her sudden collapse. Jubelian was even more surprised at the large amount of gifts stacked to the side that were sent by other nobles wishing her good health, due to having no friends. Regis soon entered her room to check up on her. Regis told her to continue resting as he returned to his duties. Jubelian reminded herself not to expect anything from Regis as she didn’t believe he was there out of concern for her.

In an attempt to improve her reputation and find independence, Jubelian wrote back to everyone who expressed their concerns for her and began to study more about the Floyen territory in the hopes of inheriting Floyen’s fortune. Jubelian went to the Study room to continue reading about territory management but was surprised to find her father there. She nervously bid her father good morning, but Regis pointing out it was already afternoon. Regis noticed the book in her hands and inquired about her interests in territory management. Jubelian claimed it was mostly out of curiosity but Regis asked her to stay and read while he tested her. After quizzing Jubel for an hour, they are interrupted by the sudden arrival of a guest. Though Jubelian felt relief, she tried to keep her composure by reading. Regis left Jubel to continue reading while he attended to the guest. Jubel’s relief turned to grief however as he handed her books about military tactics and code.

While she continued to read the books her father left her, Jubelian noticed a pendant her father left behind. Jubelian took the pendant as she searched for her father to return it to him but was surprised to see Regis arguing with a man named Max, the same man she had met at the armor store. Jubelian quickly hid so they would not notice her as she overheard their conversation as Regis reveals Max as his disciple. Regis reminded Max that the way of the sword was to protect, not to kill and when Max found someone he truly wished to protect, he would grow stronger. Jubel was astonished by Regis’ words as she recalls he has never shown her such devotion. Noticing Jubel was eavesdropping on their conversation, Max proclaimed there was a rat nearby and would deal with it. Regis, having caught on to what Max was about to do, threatened Max to ignore it. Jubel, believing there to be a literal rat, ran away to her room.

Jubel spent the next day avoiding the house while enjoying her sweets on the terrace when Merilynn came to inform her that the mouse was caught as well as to give her a letter from Rose Marie Arlo, inviting her to Rose’s 17th birthday banquet. Recalling that Rose was one of many people who accused Jubelian of poisoning Beatrice in the original novel, Jubelian has Merilynn and her other maid Sheila bring her flowers, lace, and ribbons as well as a plate of cake. Jubelian accepts Rose’s invitation by personally writing to Rose with a letter she decorated with flowers. Touched by Jubelian’s gesture, Rose gleefully celebrated her response by replying to Jubel in the same manner, albeit with a ten-page letter.

Floyen Manor Hospitality

Believing she’ll need a high-quality gift to impress Rose Marie Arlo, Jubelian goes to the marketplace to find a craftsman but was forced by her father to take 12 guards with her, making Jubelian stand out even more. With her knowledge of future events, Jubelian made her way towards the Fedor Workshop, as opposed to the more famous and professional Grada Workshop next door. While the rest of her knights waited outside, Jubelian, accompanied by Geraldine Juan Ronelle, enter the rundown workshop where they find the owner Ian Fedor disheveled. Seeing the sad state of the workshop, Geraldine insists that Jubelian search for another workshop but Jubelian declined Geraldine’s suggestion as she asked Ian Fedor for his services.

At first, Ian tries to turn the ducal princess away, but Jubel however would not accept his refusal and confirmed her faith in Ian’s skills as she was aware of his future success as a craftsman for creating a necklace for the royal princess. With his confidence regained, Ian accepted her commission and created a compact mirror as a birthday gift for Rose.

While continuing to shop for herself, Jubelian came across a pair of blue cufflinks on display, believing that her father Regis Adri Floyen would look nice with them. Jubelian purchased the cufflinks to use as a gift as she returned his pendant the next time she saw her father. She was then interrupted by Radian Droil, her former fiancé’s cousin. Radian attempted to make small talk with Jubelian, even going as far as to kiss her hand, but Jubelian tried to keep their encounter formal and short, being well aware of Radian’s reputation as a gossiper. As Jubelian took her leave, Radian spotted the men’s cufflinks Jubelian had just purchased.

While waiting for her father to return, Merilynn informed Jubelian that Regis would be away for a few days. Jubelian was annoyed by this as she would have to wait longer before getting rid of the pendant as well as the cufflinks she purchased. Jubelian read late into the night until she passed out, when she woke up she felt the presence of an intruder and was paralyzed in fear, believing it was an assassin sent by an enemy. Jubelian attempted to act fearless but as she lit her lamp she breathed a sigh of relief knowing it was just her father’s disciple Maximilian Kasin Ashet.

Hearing guards outside Jubel’s room, Max took his sword to her neck to keep her from revealing his presence. Jubel only responded with indifference and turned the guards away. When Jubelian started yawning, Max acted irritated but Jubel believed she had more right to be irritated as Max was the one who broke into her room. Jubel asked Max to go back to his own home so she could return to her sleep, but Max coldly revealed he had no home.

Believing that Max was a homeless mercenary and was hoping to sleep at her father’s manor for the night, Jubel permitted Max to stay at the manor for the night and gave him an extra blanket for him to use, and told him he didn’t need to thank her, and that he just needed to pay her back in the future. Jubel fell right back to sleep, leaving Max dumbfounded. As she slept Jubel had a nightmare of a dragon destroying the empire as her father fought it off. Jubel suddenly woke up to find Max sleeping in her bed.

Not wanting to make the situation worse, Jubel attempted to wake Max only for Max to reflexively wake up and pin Jubel down, lashing out at her. Despite her predicament, Jubel cannot help but laugh at the situation as Max reminds her of an obnoxious cat she use to own as a child, further confusing Max. Jubel’s sudden laughter caught the attention of her maid just outside the room.

Not wanting Max to get into any misunderstanding, Jubel hides Max in her closet so no one would get the wrong idea of the two spending the night together. Max is embarrassed by Jubel’s accusation and almost lashed out at her before she covers his mouth. Jubel tells Max that he’ll have to listen to her if he wants to stay which Max reluctantly complies to. Jubel then playfully patted Max’s head, aggravating the prince further but is pushed into the closet before he could say anything else.

Merilynn entered the room, questioning why it was locked, but Jubelian managed to play it off by saying she was afraid there was an intruder. Merilynn assures Jubelian that there is no one fearless enough in the world to attempt such an act. Believing Jubelian is anxious over her father’s absence, Merilynn assures Jubel that Regis would return in no time, only to discover that Jubelian was covered in bruises. While Merilynn quickly gave her aid, she advises her lady to meet with the doctor, but Jubelian assures Merilynn she’ll be fine with some ointment. Meriylnn questioned how Jubelian was injured to which Jubel claimed she fell off her bed.

After her maid left Jubel to herself, Jubel let Max out of the closet and offered to eat breakfast together. Max is overwhelmed by Jubel’s kind gesture until he sees that they were served cucumber sandwiches, a vegetable Max despises. While spending the rest of the day together, Jubel asked Max if he thought cufflinks were a suitable gift. Max insults Jubel’s gesture as he believes it’s wasted on a man like Mikhail until Jubel stands up to Max and explains they are for her father. Realizing he misunderstood the situation, Max smiles to himself, an action that did not go unnoticed by Jubel. Max claims that they would be useless for a sword master like Regis, further insulting Jubel. Jubel inquired if he was better at giving gifts than she is. Max admits he had given his father a gift not long ago. Jubelian questions what he did, but Max declines to tell her. Max assures Jubel that her father would be happy with whatever she gave him, a fact that Max quickly realizes Jubel does not believe. Jubel recalled that Max spends more time with her father than she does and asked for his opinion on what her father enjoys, to which Max claims they don’t converse much.

Realizing Max was no help, Jubelian opted to instead write a letter to her father for taking the pendant. Though Max claims that it’s not necessary. With an apology letter, her father’s pendant, and the cufflinks in hand, Jubel left Max by himself while she delivered the items to her father’s study. As she was about to place the items on his desk, Jubelian came across the list of potential candidates for her courtship, with the name of the crown prince Maximilian Kasin Ashet circled. Jubelian, assuming her father is planning to marry her off to the crown prince, trembled in fear. Regaining her composure, Jubelian quickly returned to her room as she contemplated how to avoid her engagement with the crown prince. Jubelian returned to find Max had disappeared, only leaving behind a note telling her not to look for him as he would return at another time. While Jubel was put off at how sloppy Max wrote goodbye she was also flustered at the idea of seeing him again.

Jubelian's Faux Affaire

While brooding over the many obstacles she must deal with, Merilynn, assuming Jubel is upset over the absence of her father, suggests to Jubelian that she take a stroll on the terrace. Jubel accepts the offer though is rather melancholic. Merilynn then embraced Jubel brazenly and unashamedly proclaimed she would never leave her princess’s side, confusing Jubelian. While relaxing on the terrace, Merilynn realizes she had forgotten Jubelian’s favorite strawberry cake and quickly rushed to retrieve it. While contemplating her future, she is interrupted by the sudden arrival of her father Regis Adri Floyen.

Startled by her father’s sudden return, Jubelian offered to have dinner together. Regis took her hand to calm her and assured Jubel that he would not leave her side again, baffling an already troubled Jubelian. Regis then escorted her inside to have dinner. While having dinner together, Regis asked if Jubel planned on attending Rose Marie Arlo’s birthday with anyone. Believing he will try and set her up with someone from his list, Jubel admitted that she has received many partner requests and would inform him of who she would pick.

Jubelian spent the rest of her day going over the list of people who requested to be her date for Count Arlo’s banquet. While the list was longer than she expect, Jubelian was indecisive between Sir Bromire, Edmond Ansen Lowane, and Ronald Herman Crocus. Jubelian eventually settled for Edmond and requested Merilynn to reply to his letter tomorrow morning as it had already gotten late. Unaware of Jubelian at the time, Regis took it upon himself to interview Count Lowane’s son to see if he was truly worthy of his daughter. Regis deemed Edmond unfit to be his daughter’s partner and forced him to reject Jubel’s request.

While waiting for Edmond’s response, Jubelian received the gift she had commissioned from Ian Fedor, surprised to see he had created two, one for Lady Arlo and one for Jubelian. The maids were instantly drawn to the unique item, satisfying Jubelian as it was what she intended. Jubel met with Edmond who arrived in person to answer her request.

Edmond immediately got down on his knees as he apologized to Jubelian, declining her request. Edmond had heard from the grapevine that Jubelian already had a new lover and so accepted another lady’s request. Jubelian was absolutely baffled by the sudden news and explained to Edmond that there is no new lover and that she had been merely resting from home. Edmond apologized once again, but Jubelian held no ill will toward Edmond as she was at least grateful for the newfound information. Edmond believed her a life savior and declared if he had met the standards he would have cherished Jubelian, confusing the young princess. Edmond attempted to ask her to dinner only to be met with a death glare from Regis who watched them from outside. Edmond quickly panicked and took his leave while crying.

Before Jubelian could say anything, Regis showed himself and offered to have tea together. While Jubelian attempted to keep calm and composed, Regis pried on whether she had found a suitable partner yet. Jubel did her best to keep a straight face as she claimed she was still looking. Just as Jubelian attempted to leave the table Regis informed her that he would be back late. As Regis took his leave Jubelian returned to her room, only to find Maximilian Kasin Ashet once again. Max noticed that Jubel seemed troubled by something and inquired her, promising not to tell her father. With no one to turn to, Jubel makes Max swear never to tell anyone what she is about to tell him. Max in return swears to give Jubelian all his earthly possessions should he tell anyone, making Jubel laugh.

Jubelian confides in Max about the rumors surrounding her regarding whether she has a secret lover, which she believes is causing all the men who are applying to be Jubel’s partners to reject her. Jubel further revealed that her father is planning to marry her off and already has a select candidate, and that she needs a partner to attend Lady Arlo’s banquet to keep her father from marrying the candidate. Max remarked that she might already have a suitable partner closer than she thinks. Inspired by Max’s words, Jubel decides to take her cousin Geraldine Juan Ronelle. Embarrassed that his plan had backfired, Max attempted to leave but Jubel gifted Max a bag of money as thanks for his help. Jubel tells Max that he is always welcome to come over if he should need a place to stay.

After looking into the rumors surrounding her, Jubelian deduces that Radian Droil was responsible for spreading the false narrative after purchasing the cufflinks for her father. While having dinner with her father, Jubelian returns the pendant she had been keeping but is concerned to see his indifference to her having it. Jubelian then presented her father with a pair of cufflinks. As Jubel brings up the subject of her partner for the Arlo birthday party, Regis mistakes this as Jubel asking Regis to attend with her, which Regis happily accepts, completely surprising Jubel.

Arlo Birthday Banquet

Jubelian arrived at the Arlo estate, accompanied by her father. Jubelian was beyond nervous for the occasion as she had never been to a public gathering, outside of events hosted by the royal family. Not to mention the public slandering regarding her supposed affaire. Regis took Jubelian's hand and assured her that she had nothing to be nervous about, as he was by her side today. Jubelian entered the banquet with her father wearing the rumored cufflinks that Jubel bought. Despite proving the rumors false, some of the guests believed them to be fakes Jubel ordered to avoid the rumors of her having a new lover. Regis quickly silenced everyone with just his glare. As they made their way through the estate, Jubelian commented that the Arlo manor seemed quite pretty despite it's small size, and decides to keep the structure in mind when she moves out and buys her own home.

Jubelian and Regis were then approached by Countess Arlo and her daughter, Rose Marie Arlo. The Countess expressed her gratitude at their attendance while Rose jumped at Jubelian and took her hand, ecstatic that she attended her birthday celebration. Jubelian wished Rose a happy birthday as she presented her gift to Rose, the compact mirror she had commissioned. Rose as well as the attendants were mesmorized by the unique gift Jubelian had prepared, curious as to where she obtained the item. To everyone's surprise, Jubelian gave Rose and the attendants the name of Ian Fedor’s workshop whom she recommends to anyone who is interested. Her action was seen as benevolent as most nobles would not disclose their personal crafters. With the party underway, Jubelian felt suffocated as she had not been used to speaking to so many people before. When the opportunity came, Jubelian quietly slipped away to the terrace to be alone. Jubelian let out a yawn where she teared up from her exhaustion, when suddenly she was interrupted by Max, who appeared from the tree just above her head.

Startled by his sudden appearance, Jubelian questioned what Max was doing at the party. Max ignored her question and instead inquired as to why she was crying, demanding to know who was bothering her, so that he could teach them a lesson. While appreciative of his intentions, Jubel expressed her concern for Max due to nobles mistreating commoners over minor actions. Jubel asked Max to speak formally to her when they are seen together in public. Though Max was slightly annoyed by the request, he complied when Jubel assured him that he could speak however he liked when they were alone. Jubelian once again asked Max what he was doing at Rose Marie Arlo's banquet, to which Max proclaimed he was there for work, giving Jubelian the assumption that he was hired as a guard for the party. Max as well questioned why she was by herself, and scrutinized the location of her partner. Jubelian revealed that she attended the party with her father, who was still in the banquet hall surrounded by other noblemen.

Noticing no one had asked her to dance, Max offered Jubel to be her first dance partner while the music was playing just around the corner. Jubelian accepted Max's offer seeing as no one else had approached her to ask for a dance. Jubelian was especially surprised by Max's natural dancing, as she did not expect a mercenary to be so skilled. When Jubel accidentally trips over Max’s feet he quickly catches her, and unintentionally brings her closer to him. Before either could say or do anything else, they are interrupted by the surprise appearance of Jubel’s father Regis, who demanded Max stay away from Jubel, crushing his glass of wine with his bare hand. Jubelian immediately rushed to her father, concerned for his bleeding hand. Thanks to Jubelian, Regis was able to regain his composure, assuring his daughter that he would be fine. Noticing that her ankle was hurt, Max attempted to help Jubel but was stopped by Regis, who insisted on taking his daughter home.

Regis, without warning, picked up his daughter and carried her towards the exit. Jubelian insisted that she was fine enough to walk on her own, begging her father to put her down, but Regis refused to let her go, as he did not want to risk Jubelian hurting herself any further. Jubelian was beyond embarrassed as she was forced to be seen by the onlookers of the banquet, unintentionally causing a scene at her first event. Once Jubelian and Regis returned home, Regis tucked Jubelian into bed, telling her to rest for the time being, and not to go outside for the next few days. Jubelian was baffled by her father, as he had never shown such concern for her in the past. Jubelian believed it was only to ensure that she was in top physical health so that Regis can marry her off to the crown prince. Jubelian became more determined than before to thwart her grim future, proclaiming that she won't let him marry her off no matter what it took.

Contracted Lovers

For the next week, Jubelian was couped up in her room, unable to think of a proper plan to thwart her engagement to the crown prince. During that time, she was bombarded with invitations to other events from the noble ladies after she attended the Arlo birthday banquet, including the influential Count Herend. Jubelian declined to partake in any of these social events as she was still mentally exhausted over her inability to find a proper partner that her father would approve of. Just when all hope seemed lost, Jubelian was suddenly alerted to Max's presence, who once again approached her from her window. While she was initially annoyed at seeing him continue to meet her in his unorthodoxy way, her annoyance turned to bliss as she ardently welcomed him. Without hesitating, Jubelian asked Max to be her lover.

Max was flustered by Jubelian's request, fantasizing over their future together. Realizing Max was misunderstanding her proposal, Jubel reassured it would be a contractual relationship until Jubel can live independently from her father and seeing as how Max is her father's disciple then he would surly approve of Jubelian having a relationship with Max. Max inquires as to who it is that Jubelian is trying to go to such lengths to avoid marrying, to which Jubel reveals that she believes her father is trying to marry her off to the crown prince Maximilian Kasin Ashet, leaving Max speechless. Max does not believe this to be possible, but Jubelian conqures that it is quite logical, as the ducal house of Floyen is second only to the royal family, and having Duke Regis as an in-law would greatly benefit the Emperor. Jubel further emphasized her dislike for the crown prince by saying he was cold-blooded and heartless man, and would never willingly marry him. Without explanation, Max leaves her without giving her an answer.

Later that night, while having an awkward dinner with her father, Regis asks for Jubelian's thoughts on the crown prince, terrifying Jubelian as she hoped to avoid the topic. Jubelian attempted to change the subject by bringing up the history of the Ashet empire and the magic wielded by empire’s founder, wondering if the unique power he wielded was preserved. Anxious over the topic, Regis excused himself to recollect his thoughts. Jubel follows after Regis, surprised by his abrupt excuse and terrified over how he would react over Jubelian's inquiry. Jubelian finds Regis on the balcony, and asks if something was troubling him. Touched by her consideration, Regis gives Jubel his coat to keep her warm and leads her back inside.

While brooding in her room, Jubelian was given a letter from Rose Marie Arlo, thanking her for attending her birthday party and once again expressing her concern over her health. Jubelian smiled at Rose's thoughtful letter, afraid that Rose was upset over Jubelian causing a scene at the party. Jubelian turned the letter over to find an invitation from Rose, asking her to come to Veronica Joanna Terrence's tea party with her and the other ladies of the wine tasting club. Despite deciding not to attend any more parties, Jubelian agrees to come, as she hopes to use the party to gather information about the crown prince.

The next day, Jubelian returned to Arcade street to find a suitable dress to wear for the tea party, but once again was forced to bring a dozen guards with her. As she continued to browse the streets, Jubelian was met by Lady Freya Herend, who advised Jubelian not to waste money on trendy dresses as they do not suit her elegant aura. Jubelian was appreciative of this and thanked the noble lady for her advise as she continued to pick out her clothes. Just as she completed her shopping however, Jubelian spotted Max being harassed by a nobleman, Baron Gordon. Before either man could do anything to each other, Jubelian stepped in between them, demanding that both men cease their fighting. Baron Gordon tried to butter up to Jubelian by proclaiming he was honored to be in her presence, but Jubelian made it clear she did not share the same sentiment.

Jubelian proclaimed Max as her bodyguard, and that any further provocation towards Max would be no different than provoking Duke Floyen. Gordon tried to defend his actions, stating that Max was a lowly commoner who attacked the Baron. Despite knowing he was lying, Jubelian humbly asks the Baron for forgiveness regarding Max, claiming he was from the countryside and lacked proper manners, agitating Max. Jubel then offered to receive Max’s punishment instead if the Baron still insisted on punishing Max. Realizing what would happen if he laid his hands on Duke Floyen’s daughter, Baron Gordon reluctantly apologized to Max, who frightened the Baron off with his piercing glare. Despite being offended by Jubelian's faux story about him, Max expressed his gratitude towards Jubelian, and openly states in front of the crowd of onlookers that he will agree to date her. Flustered over his sudden proclamation, Jubelian quickly covered Max's mouth and escorted him back to her carriage.

Deceiving Regis Floyen

While riding back to the Floyen estate, Jubel questioned Max on why he suddenly changed his mind and what he was doing in Arcade street, to which an agitated Max claimed to like wandering without purpose, annoying Jubel. Jubel continued their conversation by wanting to discuss the terms of their contract, but before she could, Max asked why Jubel wanted one with him to begin with. Jubel reasoned that it was because he was her father’s student, upsetting Max as he was taking the relationship seriously, but Jubel also expressed her trust towards Max that she does not feel around any other man, making Max blush.

When asked how much he wanted in return for being Jubel’s lover, Max promised to do it for free as compensation for injuring her. Jubel was surprised by Max’s kindness and immediately grabbed his hands, promising to give Max a place to stay whenever he wanted. Max, flustered and caught off guard by Jubel holding his hands, asked her to let go but Jubel stands firm that their relationship must look as convincing as possible. Jubel insisted they write out their contract but Max finds it unnecessary as he trusts Jubel would not take advantage of him. While appreciative of his thoughtfulness, Jubel insists on writing out their terms. Jubel then leaned closer to Max stating they must do one more action. Max, believing it to be a kiss, is flustered but leans in closer, until Jubel reveals that she meant they needed to get their stories straight in case anyone asked how their relationship started, embarrassing Max.

Arriving at the Floyen Mansion, Jubel introduced Max to her guards as her lover, shocking everyone as they had never seen Jubel with him. Despite Geraldine’s protest and suspicion, Jubel to recounted their fake love story, claiming they met previously at a banquet, where she saved Max while he was being harassed by noblewomen, and then met again at Count Arlo's banquet. Jubelian proclaimed Max was her destiny as she escorted him to meet her father, promising to protect him no matter what happens. Just as Regis came down the stares, Jubelian introduced Max as her new lover, aggravating her father. Seeing how furious her father was, Jubelian refused to back down, holding Max close to her and addressing him as the man she loves.

Taking their conversation to the reception room, Regis inquired on how the two met. Realizing that her father would never believe her faux story she gave to her guards, Jubel revealed how they met the first night Regis had left for the imperial palace, and how she offered to let him sleep at their manor for the night, although she accidentally revealed that they slept in the same room, further enraging the Duke as he glared at Max. Jubelian acknowledges that she has made quite a bit of trouble in the past due to her previous obsession over Mikhail, but she promises that her relationship with Max is different, and begs her father for his blessing. Regis however, refused to allow them to date, demanding them to break up. While Jubelian was disheartened over their situation, Max took her hand, refusing to waver as he consoled her.

Max reminded Regis what he taught him, that the sword was meant to protect someone, and insists that he has found that precious weakness in Jubel, and would not allow even his master to take her from him. Jubelian was caught off guard by Max's words, commending him for his acting skills as she still believed he was only faking his feelings for her. Regis, unconvinced of Max’s sincerity, renounces Max as his disciple. Seeing that the two will not come to a compromise, Jubel insists on talking with Max in private, which Regis allows albeit reluctantly. While thankful for standing up for her, Jubel is displeased by Max’s disrespect towards her father and does not want him to never speak to Regis again. Jubel asks that Max reconcile with her father by apologizing to him, which Max reluctantly complied. While Max apologized for his outburst, Regis does not accept it.

Seeing that neither person is willing to reconcile, Jubel gets on her knees and apologizes to her father, believing she needs to shoulder the blame for sporadically dating Max if she has any hope in continuing their faux relationship. Much to her surprise however, Regis picks Jubelian up off the ground and immediately forgives Max. Continuing where they left off, Regis again voices his disapproval of their relationship. While Jubelian acknowledges that it will take time for him to accept Max, she asks that he be patient and to give them a chance to prove their love is genuine. With no other choice, Regis relents, finally giving Jubelian the outcome she hoped for.

Jubelian celebrated her victory over her father by indulging her sweet tooth with Max in her room. As they ate, Jubelian was astonished by Max's etiquette while eating, questioning Max's origins and whether he was a runaway noble, but does not dwell on the thought too much as Max does not know how to drink tea. Jubelian and Max go over the contents of their contract. Max’s only conditions being he may call Jubel by her name and Jubel cannot date other men. While Jubel complies with Max’s conditions she is put off by his horrible grammar and rewrites the contract with both her and Max’s conditions. Max however is displeased with Jubel’s conditions and instead rips up the contract. Unable to put up with Max’s behavior any longer, Jubel suggests they end their contract already, shocking Max.

Max insisted that she needed him in order to avoid marrying the crown prince. While Jubel agrees, she cannot put up with someone as abrasive as Max, if his first reaction to everything is to put other peoples feelings second to his. Not wanting to separate from Jubel, Max apologized for his actions and rewrote the contract with Jubel, signing it without hesitance. To officially announce their relationship to the public, Jubelian suggests they use her invitation to Veronica Joanna Terrence's tea party as their opportunity.

Terrence Tea Party

Arriving at the tea party, Jubelian was greeted by Rose Marie Arlo as she introduced Max to the ladies present as her new lover. Much To Jubelian's surprise, she was also greeted by her former fiancé Mikhail Albert Hessen, who accompanied Veronica Joanna Terrence as her date. While Mikhail greeted Jubelian with his charming smile, Jubelian responded with indifference, as Max was forced to wait for Jubelian in a seperate room while the gathering was held. Max quickly embraced Jubelian in front of Mikhail, further enticing the jealous ex. Rose advocates that Max should be allowed to attend as well seeing as there is already an extra uninvited guest. Despite everyone’s acceptance, Mikhail and Veronica disagree as they believe they should not overstep their hospitality and abide by their rules. Jubelian accepts Veronica's desicion as Max was escorted to another room while the ladies and Mikhail went about their gathering.

Jubelian spent her time mainly conversing with Rose, as well as the other ladies present except for Veronica. Rose suggested they invite Jubelian to officially join their wine tasting club. Despite Jubelian’s reluctance to accept, Rose insists that she would be welcomed. Veronica however once again objects to Rose’s request as the club has rules and regulations that each member must abide by if they wish to join. Rose proposes Jubelian hosts a tea party at her manor to test her. While the ladies were conversing however, Jubelian was distracted by Max who was in a tree just outside the window, observing them. Believing he would cause a commotion, Jubelian panicked over Max's behavior, afraid that his unceremonious actions would cause her to lose face among the ladies and give her father another reason to marry her off to the crown prince. While internally panicking over Max, Jubelian unconsciously accepts Rose's offer to host a tea party to judge her qualifications in joining their group, further baffling the confused princess.

While washing her hands, Jubelian is confronted by Veronica who accuses Jubelian of staring at her and Mikhail during the party. Jubelian explained to her that she was frustrated over Mikhail using Veronica and warns her that Mikhail did the same thing to her. However, Veronica ignores Jubelian’s warnings, infuriated by her accusations. Jubelian apologizes to Veronica and tells her she doesn’t have to come to the tasting test if she isn’t comfortable with the idea. Once she returned to the party however, Jubel was informed that her lover and Mikhail were having a squabble outside. Jubelian, as well as the other ladies in tow, rushed outside where she confronted Mikhail as he put his sword to Max's neck. Jubelian demanded Mikhail to drop his sword. Surprised to see Jubelian, Mikhail calls out to her by her first name but Jubelian reminds Mikhail that they are not close and that he is to address her as princess Floyen. When Mikhail tries to explain what happened, Jubelian runs past him to check on Max.

Tired of being ignored over and over again, Mikhail grabbed Jubelian by her wrist and demanded she talk to him. Max demanded Mikhail to remove his hand, but Jubelian stopped him and assured him that she would take care of Mikhail. Believing she has finally become obedient, Mikhail attempts to take her away, but Jubelian stops him and demands he remove his hand from her wrist. Taken aback by her new authoritative attitude, Mikhail removes his hand from Jubelian who scolds Mikhail for his violent and abhorred behavior, and warns him never to repeat such behavior again. As Jubelian and Max walk away, Mikhail, finally realizing that Jubelian has truly left him, calls out to her and demands to know why she would rather be with Max than him, believing that Max was unworthy of her. Jubelian only coldly responds that she no longer loves Mikhail and that she no longer wants anything to do with him, leaving Mikhail behind heartbroken and humiliated.

With the tea party ending less than favorably, Jubelian and Max return to the Floyen Manor. While on their way back to the Floyen Mansion, Jubel expressed her concern over Max’s actions and asked that he not let his emotions get the better of him. Max however is unfazed by Mikhail and expressed that not even 10 nobles could stand up to him, but complies not to argue or provoke nobles from now on so not to upset or worry Jubel.

Floyen Manor Luncheon

The next day, Jubelian invited Max over for lunch, to which Max eagerly accepted, until her father Regis joined them. Jubelian went out of her way to teach Max how to properly dine with nobles, oblivious to her father and fake lover's tension between each other. When the main course was served, Jubelian offered to cut Max's steak for him, but Regis insisted on doing so himself. While cutting Max’s steak Regis tries to warn Jubel through his subtle actions regarding Max. While Jubel remained blissfully unaware to Regis’s words, Max easily picked up on what Regis was implying. Regis then offered to cut Jubelian's food for her as well, as well as having tea together. Jubelian offered to serve the gentlemen the tea she had been preparing for her upcoming tea party. When Regis was suddenly informed by Derek that his presence was requested at the Imperial Palace, Jubelian offered to make tea for him another time, only to be surprised that her father, and even Max, declared that drinking her tea was more important than the Emperor's summon. Jubelian was especially flustered over her father complimenting her tea.

Regis requested some time alone with Max to which Jubelian agreed to leave the gentlemen to their business. While waiting in her room, Jubelian mused over how well the contract with Max was going, only for Max to shock her once again by appearing to her at her window, pondering why he never uses a door. Jubel noticed Max’s face was red, concerned he may have a cold, Max only smiles while he blushed at Jubel. Max revealed that he thinks Regis is suspicious of their relationship and believes they should get to know each other more if they want the relationship to seem real.

While learning about each other, Max inquired about why Jubel hated the crown prince, only for her to reiterate how much she loathes him, pointing out how just a few days ago the crown prince seemingly killed his own aid. Max points out that she shouldn’t be wary of someone based off rumors but Jubel compares the crown prince to a predator you don’t need to know before it attacks you. Max asked whether Jubel would reconsider if the crown prince promised not to kill her, which Jubel agreed out of reason, though the thought of being with the royal nearly made her throw up.

That night, Jubel dreamt about her mother Amelia Norah Floyen, who made her hide in a closet as a game of hide and seek. Jubel asked her mother if her father would be looking for her, Amelia screamed at Jubel that the man she thought was her father was a monster, and she must not let him find her. Jubel's manifestation of her mother then transformed into the crown prince, scaring Jubel enough to wake her up. Jubel was left dazed by her sudden nightmare as a mysterious aura glowed around her. Jubel pondered how she could dream about her mother when she doesn't even remember her.

Jubelian's Wine Tasting Party

In the days leading up to her tea party, Jubelian spent night and day preparing the blend of tea for her event, mixing dried fruit with tea leaves to keep the scent of the tea. To do so, Jubelian used a unique method. The night before the party, Jubelian stayed a wake at night, pondering over the first social event she has ever hosted, wondering if the ladies will actually come after what happened between herself and Veronica Joanna Terrence. Suddenly, Jubelian was spooked by an aggressive pigeon who was scratching at her balcony window. Jubelian screamed for her maid Merilynn to help get rid of the small bird. Merilynn quickly tossed the tray she was carrying at the bird, scaring it away. While the pigeon flew away, Merilynn noticed the letter attached to the pigeon, explaining to Jubelian that the bird was a homing pigeon. While Merilynn believed it was a love letter, Jubelian assumed it to be a threading message.

The next morning, despite the mental exhaustion from the pigeon scaring her, Jubelian managed to prepare everything necessary for her initiation. Once the guests arrived, Jubelian was happy to see Rose again, but was surprised to see Veronica had also attended, and was much more formal with her. As Jubelian lead the ladies to the dining room, Jubel recalled that the master of the house, her father, was traditionally meant to greet the guests of the manor. Jubelian at first believed that she did not need her father's help, until the ladies gushed at the sight of her father coming down the stairs, formally greeting the young ladies. Jubel was shocked to see her father, as she did not inform him of her party. To add on to her bashful fluster, Regis commends his daughter for her efforts, expressing his joy and pride for her efforts. Hearing her father's words of encouragement, Jubelian could not help but smile.

With the gathering underway, Jubel served the ladies her unique blend, explaining her methods in preparing the scented tea. The ladies, especially Rose, praise Jubel for her revolutionary method. Just as Jubel was enjoying her time, she noticed her father watching them from the balcony. Before their eyes met, Regis quickly scurried away. As the party continued, Veronica brought up that the crown prince had returned to the palace, frightening the ladies, especially Jubel. Her panic however, disappeared as soon as Max arrived. Seeing the two together, Veronica praises Jubelian for having a lover so as to avoid becoming a candidate for crown princess. While the ladies tremble at the thought of marrying the villainous prince, Jubel, recalling what Max had told her previously; as well as wanting to keep bad rumors from spreading as a result of her hosting, advises them to keep an open mind as they can’t judge a person based on rumors alone.

Rose as well speaks up, explaining that she and the ladies all had similar thoughts about Jubelian before they got to know her, and now consider her a genuine and kind person. While the other ladies praise Jubelian, Veronica reminds them that they need to keep their opinions professional as they were still judging Jubelian based on her performance in preparing the tea party. Though Veronica’s critique of Jubelian’s technique leaves Jubelian disheartened, Veronica assures Jubelian that her tea was still outstanding and, while flustered, reminds Jubel that the Tasting Club has rules that she needs to abide by, officially passing Jubelian’s performance. The ladies celebrate as Jubel is inducted into the Wine Tasting Club.

With the party concluded, Jubel and Max were left alone together, where she breathed an anxious sigh of relief, not expecting the ladies, least of all Veronica, to approve of her. Especially since all the ladies present were part of the royal princess's social circle in the original novel. Jubel expressed her concern of whether she can be a part of the social society given her reputation, but Max comforted Jubel by assuring her that he believed in her and she should believe in herself. Max also revealed that he would be leaving for a while to help fend off the south. While Jubel is disappointed that Max will have to leave, Max assured Jubel that he would come back for her and that she cannot find a new lover while he was away as they are still bound by the contract they established. Max then took his leave with Jubel’s handkerchief in hand as a token.

War with Lagon

For the next two months, the Empire was at war with the nation Lagon. Jubel would continue to join the ladies of the wine tasting club on outings and social events. Jubelian and Veronica would also grow closer as friends, occasionally visiting the temple together. In that time however, Jubelian grew anxious over Max's absence as he never wrote to her, letting her know whether he was safe. To help her sleep at night, Jubelian would use an incense burner to emit a soporific fragrance to put her to sleep, however this incense had negative effects on her mental state, as her maid Merilynn insisted on Jubelian to cease using it.

One day while visiting the temple with Veronica, Veronica shows concern for Jubel as she had not been feeling well for some time, even warning her not to fall asleep in the temple, an action Jubel had already done prior. While overhearing people discussing the war with Lagon, Jubelian thinks over the outcome of the war, as her father was suppose to join the war efforts to aid Count Lennox. To her bewilderment however, Veronica informed Jubelian that the crown prince had won a great victory during the war and would be given a victory banquet as a reward in one month. This news however, only made her anxious as the banquet was suppose to be royal princess's coming of age celebration, an event where Jubelian has a confrontation with the royal princess.

Seeing that Jubel could faint at any moment, Veronica left Jubelian sitting by herself while she fetched a priest for her. While brooding in a corner, Jubel is approached by a priest who takes her hand without permission. The priest whispered to Jubel that she shouldn't have acted so hastily as because of her actions, "he" reversed time to save her, and so she must survive. Confused and frightened by what the priest was referring to, Jubel removed her hand from their grasp and quickly walked away. The priest warns Jubel to be cautious with how she lives her life going forward. Before she could question the priest, the fortune-teller "reveals" that they meant she should donate one gold coin to the temple for her services, annoying Jubel, as she was coerced into paying for the prophecy she didn't ask for.

Leaving in a huff, Jubel accidentally bumps into a young lady crying by the fountain. Jubel apologizes before walking away, only to turn back around and give the young lady a handkerchief to comfort her. The young lady Beatrice Evelyn Ashet, was not grateful for her gesture, instead accusing Jubelian of pitying her. Rather than be offended by her outburst, Jubel compares her obnoxious outburst to Max. Beatrice confides in Jubel that she feels pressure from her family, fearing she'll be rejected and despised for not living up to their expectations. Jubel empathized with Beatrice as she too knew what it was like to feel alone and fear rejection. Jubel then tossed a coin into the fountain, advising Beatrice that the best thing she can do in her predicament is to make a wish. Beatrice also takes a coin and effortlessly tosses the coin in the fountain, and landing it right in the center.

Jubelian declares that her wish will surly come true because of it. Beatrice rebukes Jubel's childish attempt at solace, declaring her actions to be meaningless. While Jubel agrees that such actions might not mean much in the grand scheme of things, she believes small things like wishes can give people the hope and courage to keep moving forward. Jubelian then spotted her knights as well as Veronica searching for her in frenzy. Jubelian bids goodbye and wishes her well in whatever she is going through.

Returning home late from her trip to the temple, Jubelian was met by her father who waited up for her. Jubel, surprised that her father waited up for her, assured him that she was at the temple all day and simply lost track of time. Regis expressed his relief knowing she wasn’t harmed, and asked Jubel not to be out so late next time. The two dined together late into the night, where Jubel continued to think about Max's wellbeing, pondering over whether he had been taking care of himself or whether he had been writing to her. Regis brought up the crown prince's victory over Lagon, and gives her a his blank check card to buy herself a dress for the celebratory banquet. Jubelian was astonished by Regis's generosity, but was quick to panic as she believed Regis was implying that he wanted her to wear something extravagant to catch the crown prince's eye. Her worrying ceased however, when her father gently smiled at her.

Just as she was prepared to go to bed, Jubelian once again requested Merilynn to use the incense burner like before. Merilynn argued against this and begged Jubelian to reconsider. Her pleas would not get through to Jubel, who begged Merilynn with her dreary eyes. Out of reluctance, Merilynn conceded, as she hung the fragrance and bid her lady good night. Jubelian struggled to fall asleep, as her anxiety grew from the impending banquet as well as Max's absence. Unexpectedly, Max appeared in front of her. Seeing Max again for the first time in months, Jubel believed it was only a dream, even pinching his cheeks to test if it was really him.

Realizing that Max was truly standing before herself, Jubel broke down in tears, yelling at Max for never writing to her and worrying her sick. Max apologized profusely, promising never to leave without writing to her. Max continued to comfort Jubel all throughout the night until she fell asleep. Believing she needed to rest, Max attempted to leave her be but Jubel kept him from leaving her, begging him to stay in her sleep. Not wanting to part from her again, Max stayed by Jubel’s side, sleeping together embracing.

Personality

Before her reincarnation, Jubelian had a vile personality where she viewed herself to be above others, partially for the fact that she was the daughter of a duke. Although she never got much attention from her father Regis Adri Floyen, she figured out ways to get that from other people and even bullied people who got close to Mikhail Albert Hessen because he was the first person to be there for her. She was also much of a stalker and would follow Mikhail around, watching his every move.

However, Jubelian was not always like this. As a toddler, Jubelian was a much happier and rambunctious child, having grown up in a loving home, and spending most of her time playing with her parents. She was very friendly and sought out new friends. Even as a child, Jubelian has always had a weakness for pretty faces, often declaring she would "marry" her handsome dad, and even declared she would marry Maximilian when they met as children. Unfortunately, after losing her mother, as well as having her memories altered, the once happy go-lucky daughter became reclusive and isolated, with her father forced to keep his distance from her to protect her, Jubelian believed her father did not love her and was desperate for his affection and attention, resorting to aggravated outbursts or forcing herself to become a prodigy in her studies in the hopes he would acknowledge her.

The constant years of yearning for love and attention resulted in Jubelian seeking out any form of love, regardless of who it was from. This ultimately was what lead her to attaching herself to Mikhail over his simple kind gesture, as her yearning spiraled into desperation for approval from Mikhail as well as his family. Because of this, she focused entirely on pleasing the Hessen family however she could; indulging their greedy and lavish lifestyles with luxury items, and even taking on some of their toxic traits such as their prejudice towards anyone of lower status than themselves, even going as far as to harass and scare off any woman who approached Mikhail. This also resulted in her pushing away any potential friends she could have made, as she flat out ignored Rose Marie Arlo after she tried to approach her.

Once Jubelian regained her memories upon her reincarnation, her personality began to revert to how she originally grew up. Her obsessive and rude behavior became much more calm and rational as she does not target her outbursts of anger or frustration at others anymore. Even so, she can be rather unguarded at times and doesn't know when something can be dangerous. However, she is a determined person who's willing to stand up for her friends and save her father. Jubelian is an expressional person who is willing to speak her mind. For instance, she unhesitatingly breaks up with Mikhail and later rejects him after teaching his mother Patrican Rin Hessen and sister Giselle Maria Hessen a lesson, telling Maximilian Kasin Ashet and Trice about her opinion and her thoughts, inspiring Ian Fedor when he is at his lose end, and more.

Despite being an expressional person who often speaks her mind to her friends and family, Jubelian has an introverted side to her as she admitted to Max that she dislikes socializing and got drained whenever she was into a conversation, but capable of putting on an act to cover it. Similar to her father, Jubelian can be emotional at some points. For instance, she goes mad out of frustration about Mikhail and his family (e.g. destroying the items she gifted them).

Physical appearance

Jubelian is a young woman who is described as extremely beautiful and charming to the point where she is also said to be like an angel or a porcelain doll with straight lower-back length silver hair, which she inherited from her father that has long bangs swept to the left side, her face is quite petite with a small chin, full pink lips and her elegantly shaped eyes are unique from other characters as she has aurora-colored eyes, which gradient of Regis' blue eyes color with Amellia Norah Floyen's violet eyes color.

The nobles who saw her commented that Jubelian takes after her father's angelic beauty while, as mentioned in Chapter 94, Jubelian's physical appearance is half like her father and half like her mother. However, Davis states that Jubelian looks more like her mother.

As a high-ranking noble lady, Jubelian wears many gorgeous gowns, expensive jewelry, and accessories. Her dresses are typically in cool tones and a relatively simple style.

Past Life

Back when she was alive in Chapter 2, she had chest-length brown that had long hair strands hanging on the right side.

Upon seeing the crown prince, Jubelian immediately stabbed herself to save herself from any torture.

In the current timeline, the two are a couple. However, they have different opinions about one another upon their second encounter. Max initially views her as an incompetent woman who was a liability to his master Regis Adri Floyen and believed she needed to be eliminated while Jubelian recognized him as her father's disciple and thinks of him as a homeless yet rude mercenary. Upon their meeting, Jubelian’s fearlessness of Max caught him off guard as he was used to people being afraid of him. When spending time together, they are very causal towards each other.

Jubelian seems comfortable enough around Max as he reminds her of her childhood cat and she trusted him the most of all the men around her. When Jubel learned she might be engaged to the crown prince she hired Max to be her lover so she can avoid the engagement while unaware of the latter's true identity. While their relationship is at first only based on a business transaction but in time, Max has genuinely fallen for Jubel and has tried to change his image so that she will accept him as a possible suitor. Jubel also cares for Max as she constantly interferes with his disputes with nobles. After the event with the Hessen Marquis family, Max confesses his feelings for Jubelian and she asks him to give her a while to consider her decision.

During Beatrice's coming-of-age ceremony, Jubelian and Beatrice encounter Mikhail and he tries to separate them both using force, she uses the whistle to call for Max and her father to help her and Max showed up as the crown prince and saves both whiles saying that he just passing by. However, Jubelian already realized that Max was the crown prince the moment she looked at his familiar back, and other than her father and Max, no one knows about her blowing whistle signal. After dancing with him, Jubelian secretly reveals to him that she knows he is the crown prince and believed that he has been lying to her all this time. Thus she rejected his confession, which caused Max to fall into despair, fearing that Jubelian might leave him and burst into tears, begging her to reconsider her decision. However, after seeing Max's tears streaming down his eyes, Jubelian tried to stop his tears and when she takes off his mask, she sees the sincerity in his eyes, and then both have their first kiss and officially became lovers. Since then, Max no longer hides his identity from her and explains to her his full story as the crown prince.

During the hunting festival, Jubelian gave Max the embroidered handkerchief that he asked for from her, later protecting her from the Magical Beast. However, after Max officially announces his identity to the public, rumors surrounding him and the Floyen start to swirl around the nobility, leading to many forged stories and false beliefs, which lead to many accusations against them. After Jubelian coming-of-age ceremony, Max gives her the tiara used by the first emperor to propose to Jubelian and she accepts his proposal of marriage.

In Chapter 123, Jubelian and Max got married and she gives birth to twins:

  • A son named Franz who has Max's midnight-black hair and Regis' sky-blue eyes.
  • A daughter named Alice who has Jubelian's silver hair and Max's red eyes.

Mikhail Albert Hessen

Mikhail was Jubelian's fiance before he left her for Princess Beatrice Evelyn Ashet in the novel. After she returned from the past, Jubelian decides to end her relationship with Mikhail, which caused Mikhail to become obsessed with Jubelian and believe that she doing all of this to get his attention. However, after she repeatedly ignores his letters and takes a commoner as her new lover, Mikhail realizes Jubelian is sincere in ending their relationship. Now having become jealous himself, Mikhail is obsessed with Jubel and refuses to acknowledge their relationship has ended. He appears to be obsessed with Jubel to the point of planning to use Beatrice as a tool to keep Jubel with him.

Family

Regis Adri Floyen

Regis is Jubelian's father. In the original novel, they don't have a close relationship as Regis always keeps his distance from her. However, deep inside, Regis always loved her deeply and her death affected him so much to the point of massacring the whole attendance in the palace and killing anyone who sired her as a villainess that have to be executed along with those who related to her death.

In the current timeline, as Jubelian returns from the past while Regis turns back time to save Jubelian, Regis this time tried to get closer to her to compensate for the time that he has been ignoring her. Regis has become overprotective towards Jubelian to the point of assigning at least 12 knights to become her bodyguards whenever she goes outside. It is heavily implied that Regis is very pampered with his daughter as he always uses his money to buy whatever she desires or get rid of her crimes. However, Jubelian was skeptical about him as she always believed that he never truly loved her. When she saw the crown prince on the candidate list, she thought he was about to use her in a political marriage. In reality, he wanted to separate her from the crown prince. When Jubel introduces Max as her new lover, Regis is shocked and raged to the point of reannouncing Max as his disciple.

As time passed, their relationship improved and they start to open up to each other. After admitting to her that he has always loved her in tears, Jubelian realized that what he said was genuine. However, after seeing his cold glance at the palace after the banquet, Jubelian once again became skeptical about him, but with Max's confirmation of his love for her, Jubelian realized that he might be hiding something from her and she will investigate the matter herself.

Jubelian finds out that the reason why Regis is keeping his distance from her is because of Darius Zeferon Ashet controlling him using the ring called 'Circe's Eye'.

Amellia Norah Floyen

Amellia is Jubelian's late mother who passed away when Jubelian was young. According to Davis and Jubelian herself, it is said that Jubelian strongly resembles Amelia, especially when she smiles.

In Chapter 100, Jubelian eventually learns about the death of her mother through some lost memories.

Friends

Rose Marie Arlo

Rose is Jubelian's first friend and one of her supporters. Rose has been admiring Jubelian since their first meeting and after receiving her birthday present from the latter, both became close friends ever since then, the count's daughter has accompanied and introduced the ducal princess to every social gathering or tea party.

Veronica Joanna Terrence

At first, Veronica distastes Jubelian as she is aware that the ducal princess is her love interest's ex-lover, and is angered so much at the moment Rose Marie Arlo said that she has invited Jubelian to attend a tea party held at Veronica's place.

However, when Jubelian tells her that Mikhail never care about her during the time they were a couple, and explains that he is likely using Veronica as well, which triggered the latter's anger and disbelief. However, Jubelian's words later have proven to be valid all along as Mikhail pushes her away when she tried to comfort him. At that moment, Veronica realizes that Jubelian was right about Mikhail.

Veronica later attends the tea party hosted by Jubelian where she gave Jubelian her opinion about the tea she made and shyly opens herself to the ducal princess. Ever since then, the two noble ladies eventually become friends with each other and Veronica is usually seen hanging out with Jubelian at times.

Beatrice Evelyn Ashet

Jubelian meets Beatrice for the first time at the church and accidentally bumped into her when she was crying alone in the corner. Not knowing that the person who is crying in front of her was the imperial princess at the time, Jubelian offers her a handkerchief and consoles the crying girl. After meeting for the second time in the Imperial palace, Jubelian is shocked to learn her true identity but still consoles her the second time, which makes Beatrice fond of her and told Jubelian to call her "Trice" and establish their friendship.

Beatrice treasures Jubelian and feels at ease expressing herself whenever she is around. Thus, she wanted to keep Jubelian to herself and often tried to get Jubelian to drink tea with her and shoo her brother away. Because of this, she became the second strongest rival to Maximilian Kasin Ashet.
